Producer & Director Salim Khassa fosters an all-encompassing worldview, having lived in diverse locations around the globe. He was born in Algeria, and spent his formative years in Marseille, France. There, he learned five languages while pursuing the dream of working in film in America. That dream came to fruition after transplanting himself to San Francisco at the Academy of Art University where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in motion picture, television, and video. Throughout his education his mind was opened to the joy of sharing his passion for filmmaking through creative collaboration.

After apprenticeships in editing music videos and commercials, he began sitting in the director's chair for his short horror films and documentaries. After graduating film school, Salim and his family moved to New York City where he founded Look Before You Leap Films. Salim's innovative path reflects his ideology.

"Sometimes I watch the blind person who would give anything to see. He knows that, for him, the night has no end, but he still goes on. There's so much in this world to see. Why shouldn't my camera always be rolling?"

Salim has worked as a film producer and director for 7 years creating in that time four major documentaries: "Quake of 89" "Cable Car," "Circle of Fear," and a fourth in post-production on the dynamic struggle of our teetering global economy.

A pilot project entitled "Chaos in Gotham" set in New York City is now in it's second episode production. He's also working on a feature film currently in pre-production, scheduling dates for late 2009-10.
